.pdf file -a) On all fly balls hit to the outfield an ump will go out to make the call! Divide the field so that B1 takes all balls hit to the centre fielder's left and B3 takes the plays to the centre fielder's right. Balls hit directly toward the centre fielder will be taken by B3 with no one on or whomever is on the diamond near 2nd base. An ump who goes out for a fly ball, stays out! The game then reverts to a 2 ump system. -b) Generally the only time B3 starts in fair territory is if there is a runner on 1st. B1 is positioned between 1st and 2nd only when there is at least a runner on 2nd. -c) If you are going to deviate, communicate. + use the KISS principle. -PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE
